All over the place!
I had a free round trip on Southwest that was going to expire, so I took a quick weekend trip to San Francisco in December of 2007. Kevin and Jackie showed me all around the town in two short days.
- Friday - I got in late on Friday evening, which only gave us enough time to ride some cable cars around the town for the night. Riding the cars for the first time alone was fun; doing it at night made it even better.
- Saturday - We got up nice and early on Saturday morning and started out with breakfast by the sea. With that out of the way, we hopped in the car and went on a driving tour of San Francisco, stopping by the Twin Peaks and winding through the hills of the city. Eventually, after a quick stop by the Cable Car Museum, Kevin and I rented a tandem bike and rode it across the Golden Gate Bridge.
- Sunday - My flight left on Sunday afternoon, so we didn't have time for a lot that day. We started out with breakfast/lunch at Han's Diner, where we just kept ordering more food until we were satisfied. Then we hopped on a bus that took us across the bridge to Marin County, where we played on the oceanside and hiked through abandoned military constructs. After we were done there, it was time for me to fly back!
